Thanksgiving is a time to express gratitude for the things we value most in our lives. Are you most grateful for your family, your friends, your health, the roof over your head, or the opportunities you have? Maybe you’re thankful for the clothing and accessories that give you a chance to express you are - we won’t judge! No matter what, we’d love to know where you turn your attention this time of year.

At SUMARIS, we’d like to show gratitude for our customers and for the people who follow us on social media. We’d also like to acknowledge the designers of the vintage findings we use in some of our pieces; Trifari, Larry Vrba Castlecliff, Romi, and Monet are just a few who help inspire our finished products.

Last but not least, we’re also grateful for the festive and rich colors of the season! In this post, we share some of our favorite ways to celebrate the traditions that make fall a great time of year.

Our most obvious accessory for the Thanksgiving season is ACORNACOPIA, which basically looks like your Thanksgiving table built into an elegant and exciting piece of wearable art. Do you love the assortment of diverse foods that we eat on this special holiday? If so, you’ll appreciate the various materials that come together to make this necklace a stunner: vintage Lucite, metal beads and findings, cherry jade, Kenyan Kazuri beads, and Swarovski crystal.

If you watch the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, you may be familiar with Snoopy, who has been a staple in the parade since 1968. While he may not be the iconic Snoopy, the dachshund in our HOT DOG necklace is almost as cute as America’s favorite pup. Even better, this necklace features beautiful glass beads in an autumnal amber color.

If dessert isn’t your favorite part of the Thanksgiving meal, then you’re doing Thanksgiving wrong! Do you prefer pies, cookies, or cakes? Regardless, you need to satisfy your sweet tooth. Our SWEET CREAM necklace captures the essence of sugar in an accessory. Featuring white Lucite and faux pearls, it’s reminiscent of meringue peaks, whipped-cream clouds, or icing swirls.

How will you be dressing yourself and your table this holiday season? Share your thoughts with us. And remember to sneak away from your hosting (or eating) duties to buy something special for yourself, whether it be a new necklace, a pair of earrings, or a bracelet.
